This is tropical fruit rambutan. I miss this fruit so much, I wish I could fly to the Philippines today! Nothing here is like this fruit. I can find rambutan here but they are all in canned. Nothing can erase my memory of eating juicy rambutans and sweet, especially from the product of Philippines.
In the Philippines, rambutan is visible during the month of July and August. It is commonly sold by vendors using fruit carts in the streets or even is fruit stalls.

Oh gosh this is one of my fav, I miss this fruit so badly.
This fruit is very common in Malaysia, my country. I like to taste two types of rambutans, the juicy one and the one with its flesh easily detached from its seed.
wow ang sarap ng rambutan!! miss ko na rin yan.. u know what? may puno kami na rambutan sa harap ng bahay namin and ang tamis sobra. dami ngang langgam e. kahit green pa siya matamis na. =)

we have loootsss of rambutan in kidapawan in fact we celebrate its harvest through the timpupo festival! during the festival, we have the eat all you can fruit bazzzaarrr!!
