Merienda Time

It's time for our merienda.

Saba is one type of a banana that is always present in the table of every Filipino especially during merienda time (snack). Top on our record is nilagang saging (boiled banana) and it’s good with bagoong or shrimp paste. There are many ways to cook saba like bananacue, turon (deep fry saba in spring roll wrapper), and sweetened banana.

I ate cooked banana once, I think it was fried. It was...different LOL
I never thought about boiling one. You eat some interesting things kiddo!
