Shrimp Preparation

Shrimp preparation. Usually, the shell is peeled, the black vein and head is removed. There are many recipes that include shrimp. If you are in a hurry you can just sauté it and you have already an instant meal. But I guess that Filipinos like exotic food. Shrimp is cooked and served without peeling its shell and the head is not removed. Its head has all the flavors and the juice is very delicious.

My husband (dutch) who's used to everything ready to eat, peeled or filleted, has learned (from me) how to enjoy shrimp's head...his peers think he's loco *lol* but he argues that the taste is in the head
