Holy Week- Vacation or Celebration?

It’s Holy Week again and most people feel so excited about the long weekend. In fact, at present, many people would be spotted more in beach resorts and tourist spots rather than in churches. Isn’t it more appropriate to accompany rejoicing with prayers during the commemoration of Jesus’ saving death and His resurrection? The Holy Week is more of a celebration rather than a vacation. We celebrate our Salvation made possible by Jesus’ death and resurrection. To celebrate is to rejoice in prayers together with our loved ones.
