Inconvenient Truth

The Philippines was estimated that in year 2010, it could have only 6.6 percent to 19 percent forest area left if inhabitants will continue to take for granted its resources. The Philippines was once a paradise and being envied by other countries as far as the biodiversity is concerned. Our wetlands are home to hundreds of species that could only be found there. There are some species that could be used for medicinal purposes, to cure different types of illnesses and even cancer. Our forest must be protected. If the trend of illegal activities continues, there would be an ecological catastrophe in the near future.
