It has been raining for weeks. The roof did not have the chance to dry off, nor did the clothes obtain the opportunity to get exposed to the warm sunlight. As for me, the constant downpour had inevitably placed me at a state of melancholy.
You see, sometimes the weather can shape your emotions. Or maybe it just happens to me? However, the cool caress of the damp environment, despite causing a gloominess I can hardly bear, can also be quite soothing and calming to any troubled mind. As a freelance writer, I get to spend more time at home than I ever wanted. With the incessant raining, my times indoors have dramatically heightened. If it were displayed in a bar graph, the latest block will be apparently taller than the rest! Because of my lengthened stay at home though, I was able to focus my energies on household duties and on my writing. As a result, I am still maintaining my productivity level, which is an absolute relief. I just hope the sunny days will soon return.
